Our company

Building a significant copper and gold portfolio in the South West Pacific.

Copper Quest PNG Ltd is a mineral exploration and resource development company steadily advancing an exciting portfolio of copper and gold projects in Papua New Guinea.

Since initially listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2007 and being privatised in 2023, Copper Quest's exploration efforts have focused on New Britain, where the company holds extensive, highly prospective exploration territory and has had major success in discovering and defining significant copper and gold deposits.

The “Pacific Ring of Fire” volcanic arc extends through New Britain, where Copper Quest holds or has applications in place for a number of exploration tenements.

Connected by road, air and sea

Close to essential infrastructure.

The exploration portfolio is easily accessed by road and air from the provincial capital of Kimbe and is close to roads, an airfield and a deep-water port. Kimbe is a semi-industrial city with well-established transport and power infrastructure.

A highly prospective land position.

Copper Quest's exploration territory is prospective for large porphyry-style and shallow felsic dome-hosted copper-molybdenum-gold deposits, with substantial mineral resources already defined at Mt Nakru and Simuku.

Mt Nakru

EL 1043 · 47 km²

The Mt Nakru tenement encloses four known copper-gold systems, Nakru-01 to Nakru-04. After significant drilling by Copper Quest and former joint venture partners, an initial inferred resource was defined in 2012.

Further exploration and drilling, including a 2025 campaign of 16 drill holes for 2,797.5 metres, enabled the resource to be updated and upgraded in 2026.

Simuku

EL 2379 · 122.7 km²

Simuku is Copper Quest's second project with a declared resource and remains a focus of recent exploration. The tenement is within one hour's drive of existing infrastructure, including Kimbe's deep-water port.

The deposit consists of a large-tonnage, low-grade, porphyry-style copper mineralisation zone and near-surface higher-grade secondary copper mineralisation.
